General Admission Requirements

General conditions for admission to tertiary education are based upon § 89 Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions.

The basic requirements for admission to studies at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava is a successful completion of secondary school studies (maturitní zkouška) and proving eligibility (aptitude test) for studies through an entrance examination.

Degree-seeking students in Czech programmes

Other countries nationals with the exception of Slovak citizens have to prove their knowledge of the Czech language as part of the entrance examination.

International students admitted to study in programmes in the Czech language study under the same conditions as other students, e.g. without paying any tuition fees during the standard length of study.

Degree-seeking students in English programmes

Candidates wishing to study in the English language have to meet the following requirements:

  • Successful entrance examinations held in the English language
  • Completed secondary school education recognized by the Czech school authorities
  • Settled tuition fee

The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.
