Financial Support for Students

Study at public universities and colleges is financially supported by the state; there is no tuition fee for programmes taught in the Czech language for students (both Czech or international) at public universities and colleges.

Granting and payment of scholarships are defined by the Scholarship Regulations of VŠPJ. Clause 5 - Accommodation grant cannot be applied to part-time students.

Merit scholarship

Conditions for granting merit scholarship are defined by the Rector´s Instruction for each semester. Students apply for the scholarship at the Study Department through a form posted in the information system for each semester which follows after meeting the requirements for granting the scholarship. The payment of scholarship is on a monthly basis, the terms are defined in the Rector´s Instruction.

Exceptional scholarship

It is one-time scholarship which can be granted in these cases:

a) for excellent study results during the study

b) for excellent research, development and creative results contributing to knowledge improvement

c) in extraordinarily difficult social situations

d) in cases of special regard – special activities, sport or other representation of the college

e) to support outgoing mobility

Accommodation grant

The mandatory condition is to study a first HEI (except in cases a transfer from another HEI) and a permanent residence outside the district of Jihlava. Students can apply through the information system for every quarter of a year. The application term is announced by the message in the information system. It is not possible to apply retrospectively. The grant amount is defined in the Rector´s Instruction. The payment is made retrospectively for the quarter, on the 15th day of the following month.

Social grant

Students are eligible for this grant if the income of the family does not exceed a product of a live minimum amount and a coefficient of 1.5. Students apply one-time for a whole calendar year. There must be a confirmation issued by the authority which proves the claim for the grant. The grant amount is 1620 CZK per month, payment is made retrospectively for the quarter, on the 15th day of the following month. The application term is announced by the message in the information system. It is possible to apply retrospectively.

The grants listed above are not granted for July and August.

Erasmus+ programme scholarship

The Erasmus+ programme gives students opportunities to spend a semester or more abroad – study mobility at a host partner HEI or traineeship in an organization abroad. For more information contact International office.
